There is no one mold for a Baret Scholar. We are looking for
independent and dynamic students of the world seeking their best
year yet. All of our scholars demonstrate a deep sense of curiosity
and care — both for themselves and the people around them.
This is a presentation of you.
Every student who applies to be a Baret Scholar is reviewed holistically: we conduct in-depth interviews, seeking to understand who you are, what drives you, and how you see this journey around the world amplifying the larger journey of your life.
For Fall 2027, we have three rounds of admission
Priority Round: Apply before November 15th, 2026
Regular Round: Apply before January 15th, 2027
Final Round: Apply before May 15th, 2027
Places and scholarship funding get more competitive with each successive round. Last year, applications for Baret rose by 70%. To have the best chance for your best year yet, we recommend that you apply early.
How and when are applications reviewed?
The above dates are when our rounds close, not when we begin reviewing. We review and interview throughout the round as applications arrive. After you complete your entire application, you'll hear from us within a week — an invitation to interview, or a decision on your application. After your interview, you'll receive your decision, and your scholarship award, within two weeks.
